I don't even remember seeing this pool before!
It was a very nice place for a short walk in the sunshine.

Where is the Oakland rose garden? 16 years in the bay area & I didn't even know there was one.

The Oakland Rose Garden is officially called the Morcom Rose Garden (although I've never heard it call that). It's on Jean Street -- near Janis -- in that area between Oakland Avenue and Grand Avenue.
See? I think you'd better move back here, as there are clearly many things left to learn about the region! I'll start looking for a house for you now....
